| September 24, 2010

The Columbia University Philosophy Outreach (philosophyoutreach.org) – with the generous support of the Squire Foundation, the Office of the Provost, and the Department of Arts and Humanities at Teachers College – will present a conference on Philosophy in Schools on October 16th, 2010.

The conference aims to bring representatives from graduate philosophy and education programs, and teachers, together to discuss the value of pre-college instruction of philosophy. Speakers and panels will highlight the value of philosophy in schools, lessons from existent outreach programs, and ways to raise awareness of pre-college instruction of philosophy.
